THE LATEST FDA RULINGS & PROPOSAL - JULY 2022
In a landmark ruling announced in June 2022, the FDA issued a marketing denial order of the JUUL device and 4 types of JUUL pods containing nicotine concentrations of 5% and 3%. The FDA also plans to proceed with a proposal to ban flavored tobacco products, and under a new Biden administration proposal, the nicotine content in cigarettes will be reduced. In response to these latest announcements and proposals, NCPC researchers have developed three briefs to clearly explain the facts:

FDA CONSIDERING FLAVOR BAN - JUNE 2021
The FDA announced in 2021 that is was considering a ban on menthol cigarettes and flavored cigars. The briefing document below, written by our NCPC researchers, outlines four essential points from research and science that community organizations should know as they communicate with citizens and other organizations.
