Polling Results 2018: Tobacco Retail Licensing, Secondhand Smoke in Outdoor Areas and Smokefree Housing

The American Lung Association in California Center for Tobacco Policy and Organizing is excited to present the results of their 2018 polls!

  • Tobacco Retailer Licensing General Population Results: Nearly 600 California voters were surveyed to gauge the level of support for policies in the tobacco retail environment.
  • Tobacco Retailer Licensing Rural Results: An oversampled survey of over 300 California voters from rural communities was gathered to gauge the level of support for policies in the tobacco retail environment.
  • Secondhand Smoke in Outdoor Areas General Population Results: Nearly 600 California voters were surveyed to assess their views about secondhand smoke and to gauge their level of support for reducing exposure to secondhand smoke.
  • Secondhand Smoke in Outdoor Areas Rural Results:  An oversampled survey of nearly 350 California voters from rural communities was gathered to assess their views about secondhand smoke.
  • Smokfree Multi-Unit Housing Results: Nearly 600 California voters and an oversampled survey of 350 California rural voters were surveyed to gauge the level of support for policies restricting smoking in various areas of multi-unit housing and arguments in favor of smokefree housing policies.
