PH / PSY 196: Internships in the Community (CURRENTLY ENROLLING)
Are you an undergraduate looking to gain research experience in public heealth & tobacco control? If so, then PH/PSY 196 is the class for you!
PH/PSY 196 is an upper division course designed to give undergraduate students research experience in public health. Being accepted into this course puts you as a Research Assistant (RA) with the Nicotine & Cannabis Policy Center (NCPC). Every RA will be exposed to various types of research experiences such as: community engagement, qualitative data and quantitative data.
In order to join this course, you must fill out an application. A complete application includes:
- Most up-to-date resume
- Personal statement that goes over the following:
- How would you use science to promote social justice in society?
- What sparked your interest in health and tobacco control?
- What are you looking to accomplish in this program?
- In 3 sentences or less, what have you accomplished towards tobacco control in the past?
