Research Assistants 2026 - 2027 (NOW CLOSED)

The Nicotine and Cannabis Policy Center is delighted to offer undergraduate students at UC Merced the chance to get directly invoved with ongoing research activities for the 2026 Fall Semester and 2027 Spring Semester. This unique role as a research assistants provides the opportunity to support tobacco control research, policy evaluation, and community engaged projects, including data collection and analysis. Students may also enroll in PH 195 for academic work.

Every participant will have the opportunity to:

  • Build research skills
  • Work with Dr. Durazo and the NCPC research team
  • Contribute to health-equity focused public health research

Qualifications

We currently seek highly motivated undergraduate students interested in making an impact in their local communities through tobacco control research and policies.
